Nordgreen’s watches are all about Scandinavian simplicity, symmetry, and social responsibility - Yanko Design
I think first getting a glimpse of Nordgreen's watches when I saw Sam Gwilt (our buddy, Sam Does Design) wearing them. Designed in Copenhagen, Denmark, Nordgreen's watches spoke of true Nordic minimalism, with pattern details that omitted everything complex, retaining just the elements that were necessary. A clean dial, three hands, and a engagement window. Together, these three elements were all that were needed to build a beautiful spotter that's outwardly elementary, sophisticated, and minimal to the extent that it looks serene.
Nordgreen'due south Philosopher lookout perfectly channels this minimalism, with its pure white watch face (that even ditches numerics for stick markings), and the slightly disproportionate seconds hand that looks like it's slicing through time. The picket torso comes with a slightly outwardly drafted design that is just angular enough to feel different and look different. The crown at the iii o'clock position has a minimal yet unique style too. The Philosopher comes with a trunk made from 316L stainless steel, commonly plant in the all-time watches, and houses inside information technology a Japanese Quartz Motility on the within.
Designed to embody Scandinavian simplicity and symmetry, Nordgreen's watch body comes in classic colors too, ranging from silver, to rose gilt, to even a bronze-ish gun metal. Paired with interchangeable tanned Italian leather straps, designer Jakob Wagner ensures that the watches attach to the highest standards of quality, craftsmanship, and style. Coming from an incredibly design-forrad background, Wagner has worked with companies including Bang & Olufsen, Muuto, and B&B Italia. Guided by traditional Scandinavian blueprint, a background in mechanical engineering, and an innate love for watches, Wagner partnered with Nordgreen to help build watches that embody an authentic Scandinavian ethos, and aesthetic.
Nordgreen's sensibilities don't stop at just minimalism… they extend to charity too, a cadre value that Danes uphold with tenacity. Equally a part of their Giving Back Programme, With each purchase, Nordgreen allows users to select one out of 3 charities that Nordgreen will support on their behalf. Flip your watch over and Nordgreen even etches a tracking number on the back, letting you runway the progress and bear upon your act of charity has had on the society.
Nordgreen's minimalist arroyo also results in their watches having universal appeal. Available in three variants, the Philosopher, Native, and Infinity, Nordgreen's designs possess the ability to look great on any wrist, paired with whatever outfit, and even across genders (all of Nordgreen's lookout man models have unisex designs).
